A case example can be a real or hypothetical situation that illustrates a particular issue, challenge, or concept. 

PEARLS stands for: 

  • P (Problem) - Define the primary problem the patient is experiencing.

  • E (Epidemiology) - Discuss relevant epidemiological factors, such as age, gender, or risk factors.

  • A (Assessment) - Present a clinical assessment, including initial observations and tests.

  • R (Red Flags) - Identify red flags, or warning signs that suggest a need for urgent action or differentials.

  • L (Literature) - Reference relevant research or clinical guidelines that support diagnostic and management decisions.

  • S (Summary and Solution) - Summarize key points and propose a solution or management plan.
